Over the past fifteen years, Morten Ruben Brage has specialised in legal matters within the construction sector, successfully litigating numerous cases before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board and the national courts. Throughout his career, Morten has provided expert advice to some of Denmark’s foremost construction project owners on complex infrastructure projects and claims management. He has also served as a trusted advisor to several major consortia of consultants involved in large-scale public construction projects, including representing them in arbitration proceedings related to these projects. Morten possesses extensive experience in advising all parties involved in construction processes on issues such as consultant liability and financial disputes arising from project delays.

In addition to his construction law experience, Morten has significant experience in environmental law, including advising on complex matters such as environmental impact assessments (EIAs), compulsory purchases, and various other restrictions on real estate use.

Since 2017, Morten has been a regular lecturer in the accredited +2 programme for architects. He frequently conducts courses and delivers lectures on construction law topics, sharing his knowledge and insights with industry professionals.

From 2015 to 2023, Morten served as principal legal adviser on the construction of the BIO4 plant.

Over several years, he has acted as lead counsel for consultants and project insurance companies involved in large-scale, complex construction projects, including comprehensive expert appraisals, claims management, and intricate arbitration proceedings.

Additionally, Morten acted as attorney and trusted advisor to one of Denmark’s largest developers in connection with the construction of a major biofuel plant with a budget exceeding one billion Danish kroner.
