Position
Matthias Jungeblut, LL.M. (Potsdam) is a Senior Associate in Fieldfisher´s Frankfurt am Main office and advises on Tax Law.
His area of practice includes corporate tax matters and international tax issues. He advises our national and international clients primarily on tax issues relating to M&A transactions and tax-optimised restructuring. His range of advisory services includes in particular:
- tax due diligence for buyers and sellers of companies,
- the individual drafting of tax clauses in asset / share purchase agreements,
- the creation of tax-optimised acquisition and sale structures (including holding structures),
- tax advice on mergers, spin-offs and changes of legal form,
- tax-optimised structuring to avoid real estate transfer tax.
In addition, Matthias Jungeblut represents our clients in tax audits and tax disputes.
Career
Prior to joining Fieldfisher, he was a lawyer with a large accounting firm and international commercial law firms.

He advises our clients in German and English.
Education
He studied law at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg and subsequently completed his legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal. During his legal clerkship, he worked for the Finance Committee of the German Bundestag and the Federal Ministry of Finance, among others. He was awarded the title of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate and Tax Law by the University of Potsdam.
He was admitted to the bar in 2018.
