EU and competition Tier 1
'Solid practitioner' Ilkka Leppihalme leads the department at Dittmar & Indrenius, which is noted for its 'highly dedicated' team. The group recently acted for a defendant in a pan-European truck cartel case and related damages litigation, and assisted Mondi Group with complex merger control issues relating to its acquisition of Powerflute Group Holdings, a matter which was referred to the European Commission by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA). Senior attorney Toni Kalliokoski is also recommended and specialises in antitrust damages claims.
Banking and finance Tier 2
Dittmar & Indrenius' recent work includes acting for Pandion Mine Finance on the financing of Firesteel Resources' acquisition of Nordic Mines via a prepaid forward gold purchase agreement. Other clients include Société Générale and Allianz Capital Partners. Juha-Pekka Mutanen jointly leads the 'responsive' practice with Hanna-Mari Manninen; Kari Lautjärvi is also a key name to note.

At Dittmar & Indrenius, the practice is 'especially strong in international cases' and represented several insurers and shipowners as claimants against Wärtsilä Finland in a cross-border dispute regarding the supply of allegedly unfit propulsion systems. Practice head Jussi Lehtinen has 'great courtroom skills', while senior associates Tom Ehrström and Heidi Yildiz are 'up-and-coming talents'.
Maritime and transport Tier 2
Jointly led by the 'very intelligent' Juha-Pekka Mutanen and Jan Ollila, Dittmar & Indrenius' practice provides a wide range of transport advice; it recently assisted the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority with the development of the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) market in Finland. RZD and VR (the Russian and Finnish state railway companies) are also key clients.

Dittmar & Indrenius recently advised Fortum on the development of its SmartLiving service and assisted Ikea with data protection issues. 'True professional' Kai Erlund leads the 'solid' IT practice and Jukka Lång is the name to note for data protection matters. Other key clients include Veho and Copart UK.
Capital markets Tier 3
Dittmar & Indrenius recently advised Kotkamills Group on the restructuring its €105m senior secured bond, including the amendment of securities packages and partial early repayment work. Juha-Pekka Mutanen and Hanna-Mari Manninen co-head the practice, which 'masters all relevant legal and regulatory issues affecting its clients'.
Intellectual property Tier 3
At Dittmar & Indrenius, Kai Erlund leads the practice following the departure of Henrik af Ursin to Merilampi Attorneys Ltd in 2018. Key clients include Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger; the group assisted the latter with the development and execution of IP enforcement strategies.
Real estate and construction Tier 3
Recent highlights for Dittmar & Indrenius include advising Ikea Real Estate on its acquisition of a property from Lemiro and acting for Food Folk Suomi, the developmental licensee for McDonald's in Finland, on lease issues, property purchases and zoning work.
