Career

Jens Hjortskov is a partner in Bech-Bruun’s Real Estate and Construction department. With right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court since 1995, Jens is one of the most highly seasoned advisers in Denmark in the areas of real estate, procurement, project development and construction. Representing a diverse clientele including major building contractors, entrepreneurs, investors, general housing organisations, property owners and both Danish and international enterprises, Jens consistently delivers top-tier legal representation and strategic guidance.

Jens is particularly experienced rendering advice in the cross field between construction and procurement law and has participated in many of Denmark’s most spectacular infrastructure and urban development projects, many of which may be seen when entering the Copenhagen Harbour. He is furthermore highly adept at leading arbitration proceedings before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board and the ICC and representing clients in proceedings before the ordinary Danish courts and arbitration tribunals. Jens is a certified mediator specialising in resolving construction disputes. In addition, Jens is a part of Bech-Bruun's specialist team in ESG Real Estate and sustainable construction.
