Yanos Gramatidis

Partner. Yanos Gramatidis is leading the Firm's Government & Privatization practice. He is extensively involved in complex M&A and privatization projects, advising both the government and the private sector. Yanos has a strong corporate and commercial practice advising clients as Mars, United Airlines, Whirlpool, Praktiker, Attica Bank, Boeing Capital Corp. and others. He is considered one of the world experts in franchising, having drafted the Greek Code of Ethics on Franchising and the Greek Legal Terminology on Franchising. He is the legal heavyweight in Greece on aviation law and aircraft transactions, advising almost all foreign aircraft leasing companies when transacting in Greece. He has written a substantial number of articles on corporate, investment, privatization and franchising matters. He is continuously interviewed by national and international press & TV channels for the political situation/Economic crisis in Greece. Yanos is the Honorary Chairman of American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and also a Visiting Professor of the Center of International Legal Studies.

Dimitris Emvalomenos

Deputy Managing Partner. Dimitris Emvalomenos, Lawyer, LL.M., Accredited Mediator in Greece (Min. of Justice) and the UK (CEDR), is the Dep. Managing Partner at Bahas, Gramatidis & Partners Law Firm. Leader Partner on Commercial and Corporate cases, with attention to detail and project management capabilities, helping numerous international and Greek clients navigate complex commercial and corporate deals as well as high demanding disputes resolution. Articles on issues of his practice area are regularly published in international journals. He has a long experience in Banking & Financial Law since the early 90s. He has assisted high profiled groups of companies and financial institutions in many complex and demanding cases, such as legal due diligences related to the listing of shares on the Athens Stock Exchange or to various kinds of M&As, financing of large projects and companies by loans of various types, syndicated loans, simple commercial loans, various bond issues relating to all the spectrum of establishment and operation of banks, legal opinions on a variety of complex banking issues, advising NPLs’ managing companies & working on securitizations of NPLs.

Eirini Economou

Senior Associate. Irene Economou has a strong expertise in administrative law, advising Greek and international corporations. She frequently represents clients in the pre-contractual and contractual phase of public procurement. Irene is heavily involved in privatization projects, acting on behalf of both the Greek State and the private sector. Her fields of expertise also include corporate taxation, administrative and tax litigation as well as customs law and on online and offline gaming.

Partner. Nassos Felonis, Partner of the Firm established in 2001, is a leading practitioner in Natural & Renewable Resources, Energy, Minerals and Environmental Law. He is a recognized expert in complex corporate projects and investment-related legal and regulatory matters, and puts his decades of practice in Greece and the U.S. to work for his clients. Over the course of his career, he has served as Associate Lecturer at the NYU Law School in New York, worked at Healy and Baillie in Wall Street and at the International Finance Corporation (IFC, an affiliate of the World Bank) in Washington D.C. He has published extensively on government procurement, technology transfer and licensing, foreign investment and privatization. Mr. Felonis headed the work group that prepared the draft bill for the Hellenic Ministry of Development to enact the legislative framework for third party financing (TPF) in energy-savings projects in Greece.

Spyros G. Alexandris

Partner. Spyros G. Alexandris, LL.M., Partner of Bahas, Gramatidis & Partners Law Firm, is leading its Commercial Litigation, Arbitration & ADR practice. Ηis expertise spans across almost all fields of Commercial and Company Law, as well as Financial Crime Law. One of the most reputable attorneys in Greece, Spyros has built an impressive record in both national and international litigation and dispute resolution projects, with impeccable results over the years. Throughout his career, Spyros has lodged and/or fought cases before all of the ECHR, the Court of Justice of the European Union (former ECJ) and the ICSID. Further to his active practice, Spyros also has tens of publications in both Greek and International legal journals, whereas he has also served as a member of the law drafting committee for the new legislative framework governing Partnerships (Section Seven of Law 4072/2012). Managing Partner. Marios Bahas is leading the Firm's Banking and Finance practice. In practice since 1969, he has been the principal Legal Advisor of a large number of domestic and international clients. He has served as the General Counsel of the Bank of Central Greece and Egnatia Bank, before its merger to become Marfin Egnatia Bank, and the Legal Advisor of Attica Bank. He has also served as Legal Advisor and Manager of the Legal Department to the Bank of Central Greece and to Egnatia Bank. Amongst others, he has been an External Legal Counsel to Agrotiki Bank and to the Cooperative Bank of Peloponnese. Since 2020 he is an External Legal Counsel of Pancreta Bank S.A. He has been a member of the Committee of Legal Counsel of Hellenic Bank Association, member of the Legal Committee of the Greek Banking Association, a Founding Member of the Banking Law Association and, up to today, he is a Founding Member & the Vice-Chairman of the Hellenic Association of Financial Law. Popi Papantoniou

Senior Associate. Popi Papantoniou has participated in various Commercial and Corporate cases. She advises Greek and international clients on M&A commercial agreements and consumer law. With distinct expertise in data privacy matters, frequently advising companies, organizations and individuals on the development of new products and services, the review/negotiation of data processing agreements, GDPR compliance, international data transfers, data subject access requests, privacy policies and safety measures, monitoring of employees, regulatory enforcement actions, use of cookies and online tracking, data breach incidents and litigations before Data Protection Authority/Courts. Senior Associate. Betty Smyrniou is the leading lawyer of Labor and Social Benefits and Aviation practice. Nikos Stavroulakis

Maria Thermogianni
