Career

George is the Deputy Managing Partner of the firm and dual-qualified in Greece and England & Wales. He advises corporates, regulated institutions, investors and private clients on cross-border transactions, regulatory risk and high-stakes disputes, with particular experience in matters involving financial crime, sanctions, governance and reputational exposure.

His practice is shaped by nearly a decade in London, where he acted on complex commercial litigation, arbitration and cross-border investigations involving anti-corruption, antitrust, sanctions, money laundering, terrorist financing, privacy and enforcement matters, alongside transactional and advisory mandates for corporates, private equity funds and high-net-worth individuals. He represented clients before the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the UK Supreme Court. That contentious and transactional background informs his advisory work: he looks not only at how a matter should be structured, negotiated or documented, but at how it may unravel if facts, markets, regulators or counterparties shift

Since returning to Greece, George has developed a practice spanning strategic transactions, regulated-sector matters, investigations and complex disputes. He leads acquisitions in the energy, transport, thechnology and retail sectors, including mandates involving distressed-asset and restructuring elements. He was part of the team advising on a landmark acquisition in the energy sector with a value of more than 350 million, and currently advises Enterprise Greece on strategic and emblematic investment projects with aggregate value exceeding EUR 500 million, and represents Hellenic Train in complex rail-sector arbitration proceedings. He has also served as external legal counsel to Accenture Greece advising on corporate and compliance matters.

On contentious and risk-management matters, George advises regulated institutions, corporates and senior executives on financial crime, sanctions, compliance, breach-of-duty and reputationally sensitive disputes. He has secured full acquittals for senior corporate officers in financial crime and breach-of-fiduciary-duty proceedings.

Clients value his ability to see a problem from multiple angles — transactional and contentious, regulatory and commercial — and to move quickly between them as a matter develops. He has a particular interest in the intersection of law, finance and emerging technology, and in crafting legal strategies that help clients adapt, protect value and grow confidently across borders. As Deputy Managing Partner, he carries responsibility for the firm’s strategic development alongside his client practice.
