Under the Turkish Data Protection Law and the Data Controllers' Registry Regulation, today, the Data Controllers' Registry ("DCR") started to operate. As a reminder, DCR is a system reached through the internet that will now be used by data controllers to enroll in data registry and for other operations. DCR can be reached with just one click on the Data Protection Board's official website.

The system is composed of 3 sections which are "Data Controller Supervisor", "Registry Enrollment" and "Registry Inquiry". There is also a detailed guideline on the web-site. The guideline has detailed information about the enrollment details, how to login to the system, information forms and how to arrange them for domestic / foreign resident real and legal entities, how to assign contact person for data controller supervisor and how this person logs in to the system, and finally the registry inquiry operations.

More detailed information will be shared with you very soon.

The content of this article is intended to provide a general guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought about your specific circumstances.
