The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has recently sanctioned and approved three national highway projects spanning across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh to be developed by the National Highways Authority of India by way of BOT-Toll (build, operate and transfer – toll) mode and DBFOT (design, build, finance, operate and transfer) mode and is slated to aggregately cost about Rs.5,529 crore inclusive of the cost of land acquisition along with the cost of resettlement and rehabilitation.
