Although, FES 2016 was predicted to be more substantial than typical fiscal updates, there were no new tax changes announced. His speech focused on how the new Liberal government is responding to the sluggishness in the global economy. The government plans to boost infrastructure spending while making it easier for private sector and foreign investors to inject their capital into the government’s existing pot of funding.
