The Government announced today that Canada's Anti-Spam law (CASL) will come into effect on July 1, 2014. The announcement can be found here and a backgrounder regarding the legislation can be found here. The sections of the legislation that deal with the unsolicited installation of computer programs or software will come into force on January 15, 2015.
