Displaying ‘strength and proven experience’, the powerhouse dispute resolution team at regional firm Arias remains a market leader, assisting major multinationals (including household names such as Walmart, Citibank and Philip Morris) with out-of-court settlements, alternate dispute resolution and high-stakes litigation. Headed by senior partner and arbitration authority Eduardo Ángel, who brings over 23 years of experience to the practice, the team covers a comprehensive range of disputes, from commercial, civil, corporate and administrative litigation to cases involving labour, IP, anti-money laundering (AML) and environmental issues. Its broad client base spans such sectors as agriculture, retail, pharmaceuticals, banking, tobacco, real estate and energy. Jaime Rodríguez adds expertise in administrative procedures, contractual and extra-contractual disputes and construction matters. Fernando Montano, who was promoted to partner in January 2021, specialises in compliance matters including AML and competition cases.
