E+H expands IP/IT team with two high-profile new additions

E+H is pleased to announce the expansion of its IP/IT + Competition Law practice group with the addition of Gernot Fritz as partner and Tanja Pfleger as attorney. Gernot Fritz (Partner) Gernot Fritz is one of Austria's leading experts on the legal challenges surrounding artificial intelligence, data commercialization, data protection, technological innovations, and digital regulation, and has industry expertise in the technology, automotive, life sciences, and telecommunications industries. His practice-oriented approach to consulting covers regulatory issues and complex transactions, carve-outs, outsourcing, integrations, and contract drafting. With his interdisciplinary education, Gernot Fritz combines legal expertise with technical knowledge at the highest level. His educational background includes a bachelor's degree in software and information engineering and a master's degree in computational intelligence from the Vienna University of Technology, in addition to his legal studies, which he also completed in Vienna (Dr. iur.). Before joining E+H, Gernot Fritz worked as counsel at the international law firm Freshfields in the Tech, Data, and Commercial practice group. She also specializes in implementing AI and legal tech solutions, particularly in projects that span across multiple jurisdictions. Her law degree is from the Johannes Kepler University, Linz. Before joining E+H, she worked as an associate at the international law firm Freshfields in the Tech, Data and Commercial department. E+H expands partner circle with appointments from within its own ranks

E+H is pleased to announce that Felix Frommelt and William Redl have been appointed as new partners in the firm with immediate effect. Both previously worked as attorneys and permanent substitutes at E+H and have proven themselves to be experts in their fields over the past few years. Felix Frommelt Felix Frommelt brings extensive expertise in antitrust law and regularly represents clients before Austrian and European antitrust authorities. Another focus of his practice is internal investigations under criminal and antitrust law and related compliance measures. In addition, he regularly advises on investment control law matters, sustainability issues, and regulated economic sectors. “In my new role as a partner at E+H, I look forward to continuing to work with our clients and to achieve tailor-made, solution-oriented results together,” says Felix Frommelt. William Redl William Redl advises national and international clients on all aspects of Austrian and EU competition law, with a particular focus on merger control, antitrust, and market power abuse proceedings. bpv Huegel advises NÖM AG on strategic partnership with Vorarlberg Milch

The law firm bpv Huegel provided comprehensive support to NÖM AG during its merger with Vorarlberg Milch. 26 August 2025. As part of the transaction, NÖM AG is acquiring the production facility of Vorarlberg Milch GmbH in Feldkirch, which will be managed as part of the NÖM Group in future. At the same time, Vorarlberg Milch eGen is acquiring a direct 3% stake in NÖM AG and will be represented on the Supervisory Board. The transaction has already been approved by the Federal Competition Authority. The majority shares in NÖM AG remain unchanged with Raiffeisen-Holding NÖ-Wien reg. Gen via Niederösterreichische Milch Holding GmbH and with MGN Milchgenossenschaft Niederösterreich reg. fwp advises on takeover of the multinational Megatech Group

Vienna, 28 February 2025: Fellner Wratzfeld & Partner Rechtsanwälte (fwp) successfully advises an international banking consortium of eight banks on the restructuring and acquisition of MEGATECH Industries GmbH by the Italian SAPA Group. Advice included the transfer of outstanding loans and the related release of collateral in several jurisdictions. By today's closing the transaction was successfully completed. The Megatech Group, which is a multinational player in the field of automotive parts supplies, was fully taken over by the Italian SAPA Group, which specialises in plastic and light components. In the course of the transaction the outstanding loans of the Megatech Group were transferred to SAPA S.p.A. and the related collateral was released in several jurisdictions. The takeover of the multinational automotive part supplier by the Italian SAPA Group will open new strategic opportunities intended to sustainably strengthen the growth and competitiveness of both companies. Closing took place on 28 February 2025. In the course of this complex takeover fwp comprehensively advised a consortium of eight international banks on financial restructuring and transferring of outstanding loans. Legal aspects under German law were coordinated and successfully implemented in cooperation with the business law firm NOERR.
