Position

Imogen is a junior barrister with a particular specialism in public law. She joined chambers in April 2022 having previously worked as a barrister at the Government Legal Department, where her work included advising on points of EU law pre and post the transition period, drafting legislation and assisting on two major Supreme Court cases.

Career

Imogen has a busy court practise and has appeared in the High Court, County Court and various tribunals. She has extensive public inquiry experience, and has worked as a junior junior counsel to two major public inquiries. She also has a keen interest in local government law, and recently completed a secondment to the legal department of a local authority.

Imogen was elected to her inn of court’s Bar Representation Committee in 2021, and is particularly passionate about inclusion and diversity at the bar. She is committed to pro-bono work and recently completed Advocate’s 25 for 25 challenge. When she has time, she also enjoys hiking (particularly in Scotland) and travelling.
