Position

Practice encompasses employment, education, personal injury and civil liberties and human rights; with a particular interest in discrimination and equality. Louise has an extensive employment and discrimination practice in tribunals and the appellate courts; she has a depth of experience of both advisory work and representation in the field of employment law, with a particular emphasis on discrimination law. She regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal and her appellant practice includes the EAT and the Court of Appeal. Louise’s experience of acting in employment matters covers a broad range of issues including unfair dismissal, WTR, TUPE, whistle blowing and all discrimination matters. In addition she has wide experience in obtaining interim injunctions and claims involving stress and bullying. She is regularly instructed in a range of education matters including admissions, exclusions and SEN. Within the field of personal injury her speciality is employer’s liability. Recent reported cases include: Fuller v LB Brent [2011] EWCA Civ 267; Fuller v LB Brent, EAT 21/4/2010, Lawtel 2/6/2010; Dogan v LB Greenwich, EAT 15/3/2010, Lawtel, 27/4/2010; Bond v Urmet Domus Communications and Security, EAT 27/5/2010, Lawtel 23/6/2010.

Called 2006; Inner Temple. Inner Temple major scholar 2004 and 2005, and Joseph Priestley scholarship.
