Career

Yang Wang, managing partner of Dechert’s Beijing office, focuses his practice on cross-border merger and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital investments and capital markets.

Mr. Wang has extensive experience in cross-border acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments in Chinese companies. He also has substantial experience in initial public offerings of Chinese companies on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with international placements under Rule 144A and Regulation S. He advises private equity funds, multinational companies, investment banks and Chinese companies.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Wang worked at an international law firm where he focused primarily on cross-border acquisitions and capital market transactions.

The group handles the full gamut of issues, such as de-listings and de-authorisations, and R&E projects. Stephen Chan has a great deal of experience in joint venture formations, proposed IPOs, and investments. Dividing his time between Hong Kong and Beijing, Yang Wang advises a number of corporations, investment firms, and private equity funds on distressed M&A.
