Within: EU and competition

Sector-focused practice Dentons ‘provides an exceptional level of overall service’, with expertise in energy, financial services, retail, transport, media and government projects. ‘Brilliant competition lawyer’ Adrian Magnus heads the practice and is noted for his ‘blend of legal expertise and commercial acumen’. Magnus acted for PT Pertamina on the competition aspects of its joint venture with Rosneft to construct and operate Indonesia’s first new oil refinery for 22 years and advised for Transport for London on the state aid considerations of its commitment to offer 4G coverage on the London Underground. Other key team members include ‘reliable, helpful and approachable’ counsel Rebecca Owen-Howes and senior associate Christopher Graf (‘definitely a talent’ who ‘goes the extra mile for his clients’). On a national basis the firm’s merger with Maclay, Murray & Spens enlarged the team with the addition of Glasgow-based Michael Dean and Edinburgh-based Catriona Munro .
