Lyle Zulak is a partner and co-lead of the Firm’s Real Estate, Development and Planning group in Calgary. As a trusted advisor, his representative work includes a wide range of clients involving all aspects of commercial real estate with particular emphasis on joint venture structuring, development, acquisitions, divestitures and financing.

Lyle has a reputation for exceptional deal-making and facilitating complicated transactions. His clients value his ability to find practical solutions to complex issues that are often difficult to navigate. He also acts for lenders and borrowers in all phases of acquisition, development and construction loans. His clients benefit from his experience and ability to guide them through issues related to corporate and ownership matters, including partnership, joint venture and co-ownership agreements.

Lyle has particular real estate-related knowledge in the rail, hotel and leisure, and senior assisted living spaces. With respect to hotel and leisure, Lyle has worked on a very large number of hotel-related transactions, with extensive experience in negotiating the management, acquisition, joint venture, financing and development of hotels, resorts, restaurants and golf courses.
