Position

Dr. Sascha Grosjean is a partner in Dentons’ Dusseldorf office and co-head of the German Employment and Labor practice group. He advises employers on all aspects of individual and collective labor law including, in particular, negotiations of collective bargaining agreements and works council agreements including, social plans. Clients appreciate his comprehensive experience advising clients in connection with corporate transactions (M&As).

Sascha is especially focused on providing advice on occupational pension schemes. Clients find this expertise increasingly vital to their corporate transactions when implementing, restructuring, carving out and terminating company pension plans.

Sascha is also an experienced adviser on HR-compliance issues—crucial for employers to avoid legal and financial risks in the areas of labor law, social law and criminal law. In particular, he protects employers against the use of pseudo-personnel lease and pseudo-independent contractors, which can expose employers and management to significant risks.

Recognized for his international consulting expertise, Sascha has developed a strong Japanese clientele advising such companies for many years.

Dentons‘ focus on collective employment law leads to regular instructions related to operational changes, co-determination and the establishment of employee representatives. The practice also advises on New Work, including on matters such as external staff compliance, HR compliance and employee data protection; the central importance of this subject was underlined with the arrival of employee data protection and HR compliance expert Philipp Byers from Watson Farley & Williams LLP in May 2023. Sascha Grosjean is also adept in the New Work sphere and jointly leads the team with restructuring expert Markus Diepold.
