Nicoleta heads the EU litigation practice of Dentons Brussels, having litigated over 80 cases before the General Court and the Court of Justice of the EU, where she represented the Council of the European Union on anti-dumping and anti-subsidies matters, as well as other clients in proceedings involving EU sanctions delistings, intellectual property rights, competition law, financial sanctions, customs, and actions for damages.

As Partner in the Brussels office, her core practices focus on international trade an EU trade policy, economic sanctions, and trade controls (including export and sanctions licensing and compliance issues), EU regulatory law and covering a variety of sectors.

In her practice, Nicoleta draws on more than ten years of experience in advising companies on the EU and UN sanctions implications relating to, among others, Belarus, Iran, Libya, Russia, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Syria, and Venezuela, including sanctions licensing and compliance issues. Furthermore, thanks to her strong background in the EU regulatory law, she frequently advices clients on matters such as the EU anti-money laundering rules, data protection, the EU export control regime, the Dual Use Regulation and foreign investment.
