Career

Aline Steffen’s practice focuses primarily on arbitration and litigation as well as advising clients in all aspects of commercial law matters, in particular in the drafting of agreements and general terms and conditions. Furthermore, Aline Steffen advises and represents clients in connection with intellectual property law, unfair competition and advertisement. Aline Steffen advises both private individuals and listed companies as well as small and mid-cap companies from various industries.

Aline Steffen studied law and economics at the University of St. Gallen and completed her master’s degree in 2017. As part of her bachelor’s degree, she spent a semester abroad at the Singapore Management University in Singapore. During her master’s studies, Aline Steffen worked as a legal assistant in a law firm in Zurich. Following her master’s degree, she completed a one-year internship at the District Court of St. Gallen and subsequently worked as a trainee at CMS from October 2018 to September 2019.

After her admission to the bar in 2020, Aline Steffen returned to CMS and has been working as an associate in our firm since.
