Career

Zara Jamal is a Partner at Abreu Advogados for four years and also Partner at JLA Advogados, Abreu Advogados’ associate firm in
Mozambique, since 2014. She works primarly on the implementation of international businesses and project finance transactions in Mozambique,
focusing particularly in the areas of banking, real estate, finance, corporate and regulatory law. Zara often advises on international project financing
transactions. Her experience includes Islamic Banking matters, where she assisted Murabaha’s first transaction in Mozambique, and in the
financing of one of the largest gas discoveries worldwide in the last fifteen years.
