Position

Patricia Read is a partner of the firm and part of the Corporate Finance Department. She joined the firm in 2006. She leads the Corporate / Commercial and Tax Departments.

Career

With 16 years of experience in commercial and corporate law, Ms. Read concentrates her practice on counseling clients on incorporations, restructuring and transforming companies, changing corporate structure, taxation, and shareholders’ agreements. She has assisted as Corporate Secretary of important clients of the firm for more than 10 years. She advises on project finance and M&A’s, contractual affairs, labor issues, regulatory matters, real estate, and tax issues. She is well versed in customs law and practices, immigration matters among others.

Patricia was ranked by Chambers Latin America 2020 in the Corporate/Commercial practice and recommended by Legal 500 2022 in the Corporate, Banking and Finance practices.

Patricia graduated Cum Laude in law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in 2007.
