Ximena is a partner in the firm’s public law, competition and antitrust, and litigation and dispute resolution, arbitration practice groups. She is consistently ranked as a leading lawyer by international legal directories. Her 30 years of experience include roles on a range of major government tender processes as well as contentious matters, including litigation and domestic and international arbitration in connection with infrastructure projects and public law.

She benefits from an international education at Pace University and an LLM from Harvard Law School, and from a period at formerly leading dispute resolution boutique firm Fernández de Soto & Asociados.

In the public law and projects area, Ximena lately advised new clients in the tender processes for the award of the Metro de Bogota and the Regiotram concession contracts. She has participated in Colombia’s major infrastructure projects such as 4G and 5G projects.

In the disputes resolution area, Ximena recently took part in an ICC arbitration, in representation of a Spanish company that dealt with a controversy with a subcontractor of major equipment in an infrastructure project in Colombia. The arbitral award was favorable to the client.
