His real estate practice has both a transactional and a regulatory focus. In the regulatory area, Martín has become one of the most prominent experts in Chile in zoning regulations and real estate permits conflicts

Martín is Co-Director of the Real Estate Law and Business Diploma, at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile School , and has served as Professor in the Urban Planning Master at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile Architecture School .

He served as Adviser and Chief of Staff of the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of Chile from 1997 to 2000 and is the CEO of Chilean environmental consultancy firm Sustentable S.A. from 2002 to 2006.

He graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile School of Law (1995). He has a Master of Laws (LLM) and a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Michigan (2002).

With ‘a lot of experience in environmental and administrative issues‘, Guerrero Olivos‘ environmental and water law practice covers environmental litigation, regulatory compliance, and the environmental and law aspects of energy, mining, and construction project development. It also advises on the environmental due diligence for M&A deals. A quartet of partners co-lead the practice: Clemente Pérez, who assists with regulatory work, environmental litigation, M&A-related environmental issues, and the environmental side to high-stakes real estate and energy projects; Sebastián Abogabir, a specialist in environmental assessments for non-conventional energy projects; water law expert Benjamín Pérez; and Martín Santa María, who advises on the environmental assessment of project development and urban planning.
