Liesl is Partner in the Corporate practice group.

Her practice areas include subscription finance, structured finance (predominantly involving CLOs), corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings of debt and equity and general aspects of corporate law. She has a vast amount of experience in complex financing transactions involving a wide variety of asset classes and has worked with leading investment banks, arrangers, issuers and collateral managers throughout the US and Europe on offshore transactions.

Liesl is currently ranked as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ in Legal 500 and as a ‘Rising star’ in the banking, capital markets and M&A practice areas in the IFLR1000 since 2019. Liesl is also currently ranked by Chambers Global as an ‘Up and Coming’ lawyer has who is highly proficient in subscription and asset finance mandates, with an interviewee classifying her as “top-notch”.

In 2020, Chambers Global commended Liesl as a “terrific young partner”, with one client praising “her attention to detail, ability to execute in tight windows and client service mastery,” and calling her “one of the brightest rising stars in the space.”
