Her professional practice focuses on matters related to the regulation of the insurance market, legal advice on the structuring of insurance programs, and dispute resolution in insurance and reinsurance. She has served as legal and international affairs director at Fasecolda, manager of Casualty & Bonds Portfolio at Royal and Sunalliance Colombia S.A., and external legal advisor in matters related to insurance and reinsurance for insurance and reinsurance companies, financial institutions and entities in the energy market. She has been national and international speaker on issues related to insurance law, insurance regulation and free trade in financial services. In addition, she has been member of the board of directors of financial entities linked to the national and international financial market. Rebeca has knowledge of German and Italian. She is currently arbitrator at the Center of Arbitration and Conciliation of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, university professor (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de Los Andes, Universidad del Rosario) and President of the Iberoamerican Reinsurance Working Group of the International Insurance Law Association, AIDA.

Rebeca is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, who holds a post graduate degree in International Trade Law from the Turin School of Development (2001), and a LL.M. in Insurance Law and Financial Regulation from The London School of Economics and Political Science (2002). Furthermore, she also has a Specialized Course for Court Clerks of Arbitration (2013) and a Diploma in National and International Arbitration from the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (2017).
