Gabriel is partner director of Durán & Osorio Abogados, which he founded in 1995. With more than 30 years of extensive experience he has an exceptional background in infrastructure, government agencies, utilities, public law, public transportation projects, energy and mining, and litigation. He also served in the Colombian government as Securities Superintendent –the general director of the Colombian capital market watchdog-, managing director of INURBE -a Colombian public agency in charge of affordable and social housing policy-, and as general director of economic regulation for the Ministry of Finance, and general director of banking for the Superintendency of Banks.

Gabriel holds a J.D. from Universidad de los Andes -Colombia-, two graduate degrees in financial law and in banking, and an MPA from Harvard University.
