Career
Michelle Treadwell Briggs is a partner in Goodwin’s Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on advising Goodwin lawyers and clients on legal, technical and strategic issues involving electronic discovery and information management. She has wide experience in managing all aspects of discovery and subpoena compliance, including developing and implementing the full range of electronic discovery and response strategies for government investigations and for complex commercial, antitrust and intellectual property litigation.
Ms. Briggs has participated in litigations and investigations involving complex contract disputes in the specialty chemicals industry, class actions, governmental antitrust reviews in the telecommunications, healthcare and financial services industries and patent disputes in the pharmaceutical industry, including Hatch-Waxman litigation. Additionally, Ms. Briggs has coordinated all aspects of Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice Second Requests and subpoenas from state Attorneys General.
Ms. Briggs was selected by Chambers USA as a leading E-Discovery & Information Governance lawyer, describing her as “highly technically proficient,” and “when you are dealing with tricky e-discovery or information governance issues, she cuts to the chase.”
