An experienced bankruptcy and restructuring lawyer, Paul Muscutt’s practice covers all aspects of contentious and noncontentious insolvency, with specific knowledge of contentious work and focus on the asset-based lending sector. Paul acts for financial institutions, private equity investors, insolvency practitioners, directors, and corporate clients.
Paul is a partner in Crowell & Moring’s Corporate Group in the firm’s London office. He is a member of the Legal and Technical Committee for the Asset Based Finance Association (part of UK Finance) and a member of R3’s Policy Group.

Led by ‘industry specialist’ Andrew Knight, Crowell & Moring has forged a strong offering for a lender-focused client base in the ABL market since he established the firm’s “greenfield” offering in 2019. Much of this success can be attributed to Knight’s robust ties with a number of well-established independent ABL lenders, most notable of which is PNC Bank. As well as advice on transactional work, which includes the use of ABL for working capital purposes and to facilitate event-driven mandates including M&A, Knight also regularly advises on product development and restructuring matters.
