Career

Jo is a senior associate in our financial and professional risks team in our Birmingham office. She has considerable experience in acting for insurers and their insureds in a wide variety of claims, including multi-million pound, cross-jurisdictional disputes. She has defended claims against solicitors, construction professionals, property professionals, insolvency practitioners and accountants. Jo has also pursued recovery actions and advises clients frequently in relation to coverage issues.

Jo recently successfully defended a claim against solicitors to trial, obtaining a significant costs award. She has also recently been involved in a high value, multi-party adjudication in which she successfully defended the insured construction professional involved.

Jo has also spent time seconded to an insurer client and so has an excellent understanding of the issues and pressures insurers face, and the need to provide a first-class service to insured clients.

Jo also delivers training and seminars to clients and the wider insurance community and has published articles on case law and dealing with litigants in person.
