Career

Myfanwy qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and joined Barcan+Kirby in 2004. She was promoted to Senior Associate in 2015. Myfanwy specialises in serious injury claims including severe brain and spinal injury or claims for other injuries leading to permanent disability or fatality, often arising from road traffic collisions or accidents in the workplace.  

Myfanwy has a particular interest in the psychological impact of injury and has acted exclusively for claimants in personal injury since 1990. She also sits as an Assistant Coroner in the Avon Coroner’s Court and has experience of appointment as Solicitor to a Judge-led Inquest.

She is used as ‘internal counsel’ by team members and mentors colleagues on liability, causation and quantum issues.
