Position

Tony advises on all aspects of corporate law in Guernsey, with a particular focus on transformative corporate transactions including private mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, schemes of arrangement, stock exchange listings, equity investments and joint ventures.

Tony also advises on issues of corporate governance, shareholder rights and the conduct of regulated business in Guernsey, and advises on the establishment, management and regulation of investment funds in Guernsey, as well as the establishment of private investment structures.

Tony arranges listings of investment funds, trading companies and bonds on The International Stock Exchange, including acting as sponsor (through Carey Olsen Corporate Finance Limited) and advising on compliance with the continuous obligations associated with a TISE listing.

Career

Tony joined Carey Olsen in August 2008 having previously been a partner and head of corporate at Wedlake Bell in London. Tony qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1998 (currently non-practising) and was called as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey in 2010. He was made a partner at Carey Olsen in 2015.

Advising on the raising of both equity and debt, Carey Olsen supports clients seeking to list on TISE and assists Guernsey-based companies with LSE listings. The firm also offers advice on secondary and transactional fundraising, as well as regularly advising SPACs in relation to listings on the Main Market.
