Des Collins is Senior Partner of Collins Solicitors. He specialises in civil litigation and continues to be involved in high profile cases.

He is currently leading the firm’s representation of 1,200 victims and their families at the Infected Blood Public Inquiry, as well as 500+ people in relation to the concurrent ‘Contaminated Blood Products Group Litigation Order’ in the High Court.

His work has included the representation of rail crash victims at Public Inquiries and over 250 families following the Buncefield Oil Terminal explosion. He successfully led the landmark negligence claim against Corby Borough Council, on behalf of children suffering significant birth defects owing to their mother’s exposure to toxic waste during the demolition of the British Steel Works in Corby.

Des has been the recipient of numerous awards and, in 2019, was included again on The Lawyer’s list of ‘Hot 100’ lawyers for 2019.
