Career

Jamie is a director at Oben Regulatory. He has considerable experience in resolving complex regulatory matters, from enforcement investigations to the design of comprehensive remediation plans. His work is multi-jurisdictional in its scope. Jamie has unrivalled experience in assisting clients with the JFSC’s settlement process and advising businesses subject to civil penalties.

Jamie works with a wide range of financial services businesses across all regulated sectors. Previously, he held the post of Deputy Director of Enforcement at the Jersey Financial Services Commission where he led teams of accountants and lawyers dealing with the Commission’s most complex cases. Jamie was also appointed as the commission’s Deputy MLRO for eight years. Jamie has been appointed as an inspector and competent professional by regulatory authorities and chaired the National Vulnerability Team as part of Jersey’s preparations for the Moneyval assessment.

He has also worked for one of the Island’s largest law firms during which time he advised clients across a broad spectrum of issues including fraud, sanctions, bribery and corruption and suspected money laundering.
