Career
I am an Employment Partner at Shakespeare Martineau, working in the Lincoln office. I have been practicing Employment law for over 16 years, including having successfully led a team of Employment lawyers in a previous position.
My expertise covers all aspects of employment law and HR related issues, such as disciplinaries & grievances, discrimination and unfair dismissal challenges, TUPE and corporate support work. I am also an experienced Employment Tribunal advocate. I work closely with clients to understand their challenges and find the best solutions for them, taking account of their specific needs and goals. I am also an experienced Employment Tribunal advocate. I regularly deliver seminars on Employment related topics and have written many articles and publications on a variety of Employment related issues. I also have in-house experience, having worked for a year in a multi-national food manufacturing company. There, I handled all aspects of the in-house legal function, including employment and HR support and litigation, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, data protection support including working closely with the company’s DPO and deputising where necessary, supporting on IP issues and litigation. This experience gave me a deeper insight into the commercial realities and challenges that businesses face, and how to overcome them effectively.
