Career
Alexandre Sami is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office. His practice focuses mainly on construction law and commercial litigation.
He advises owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and insurers in all legal aspects of their business, including professional liability and errors and omissions. As such, he has advised clients before all levels of Québec Courts as well as before arbitration/mediation boards. He also participates in the drafting and negotiation of contracts and invitations to tender, and provides strategic legal advice on public procurements.
Alexandre also represents large national and international companies with respect to product liability and complex commercial disputes, including intellectual property and trademarks, which may require obtaining and executing extraordinary proceedings, such as injunctions and seizures before judgment.
Alexandre is recognized as a leading professional in Dispute Resolution by Legal 500 Canada, as well as in Construction Law by Best Lawyers in Canada .
He sits on the board of directors of the Fondation Papillon (formerly, Québec Society for Disabled Children).
