Career

Helen is the Deputy Senior Partner at Wilson Browne.  She has acted for clients across Northamptonshire for over 25 years and has a long established reputation for acting for clients in the Wellingborough area and regularly sees clients at our office there.

She has been advising and assisting clients on all aspects of relationship breakdown since 1985 and specialises in divorce proceedings, helping clients to resolve disputes about contact and residence arrangements for children and the financial aspects of relationship breakdown.  She regularly acts for clients who have complex finances, including pension and business interests.

Helen is very aware of the emotional distress  that comes with the breakdown of a relationship and always strives to offer a sympathetic and human approach to the legal advice and service that she provides.  It is important to Helen that she communicates well and regularly with clients and at all times keeps them up to date with progress.

Wilson Browne Solicitors’ ‘reassuring’ team provides ‘excellent advice’ on a broad variety of family law matters, with practice head Sally Robinson, the ‘knowledgeable and thoroughHelen York and Edward Rawlins, who is also a mediator, as the main advisers. Finance issues arisen from divorces and other separations, injunctions regarding non-molestation and occupation, cohabitation agreements, and pre-nuptial agreements are as much part of the caseload as childcare arrangements, including guardianship, and issues specifically facing same-sex couples. The firm offers clients a dedicated childcare team under the lead of Deena Tate. Clients are mainly high-net-worth individuals, including business owners; public sector workers, farmers and other working professionals, making the client base varied in the wealth and assets at stake.
