Career
James joined Birketts as a trainee in 1977. He is a senior solicitor and head of our charity team.
James advises a range of charities and voluntary bodies on all aspects of charity law. He is Diocesan Registrar and Bishop’s legal adviser for the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. He is also Deputy Registrar for the Diocese of Norwich.
Memberships
As well as being a lay reader, James is a member of the Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship.
