Mr. Uy is part of the Firm’s Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions and Immigration practice groups.

Mr. Uy has assisted clients in the drafting and reviewing of transaction agreements for various capital market issuances such as long-term negotiable certificates of deposit, medium-term note and green bonds. He has conducted due diligence on corporations in connection with listing applications and mergers & acquisitions, and have acted as counsel to both issuers and underwriters, as well as to sellers and acquirers in these transactions. Mr. Uy was proudly part of the team which was awarded  “Best Philippines Deal for 2017” by FinanceAsia for handling the largest ever stock rights offering in the country.

As one of the most senior associates of the Immigration Practice Group, Mr. Uy handled various immigration requirements of individual and corporate clients, such as visa and work permit processing, visa downgrading and clearance, citizenship re-acquisition and recognition matters, and adversarial immigration proceedings such as blacklistings and deportation.

Mr. Uy boasts extensive experience in assisting publicly-listed companies in their day-to-day corporate, legal and regulatory compliances and requirements.

Mr. Uy has been recognized by the Legal500 as a Recommended Lawyer in Immigration.
