Career

I am a partner based in Beijing and lead the China data protection and cybersecurity team.

I have extensive experience in advising cyber security and data protection as well as regulatory and transactional issues in technology, media, telecommunications (TMT) sector. My clients include foreign and Chinese multinational companies in a broad range of industries, and I am particularly skilled in advising clients on data compliance projects with cross-border elements and solving complicated legal issues. I am frequently quoted in the media for my views and a recognised author of articles on TMT and privacy matters.

I graduated from the University of Manchester with an LL.B degree. I am admitted to the bar in New York State, United States and passed PRC Legal Professional Qualification Examination. I am a member of IAPP, holding CIPP/E, CIPP/US and CIPM certificates, and an expert of the Big Data Group of the National Information Security Standardization Technical Committee (TC260).
