Sarah acts for major, mid-tier and junior resource and energy companies in all aspects of the acquisition, development and operation of exploration and mining projects.

She has extensive experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on sale and purchase agreements for exploration and mining projects (acquisitions and divestments), farm-in and joint venture agreements, split commodity/mineral rights agreements, royalty deeds, access and compensation deeds and operational contracts, such as mining services contracts, goods and services agreements and offtake agreements. She also provides regulatory advice and due diligence on exploration and mining projects, including preparing solicitor’s reports on tenements for IPOs.

She is regularly involved in mining related litigation, including appearing in Warden’s Court proceedings (objections to tenement applications, exemption applications, forfeiture proceedings and plaints), and efficiently and effectively resolves resource and energy tenure and infrastructure disputes.
