Position

Susanne Fruhstorfer is a partner and Head of Restructuring & Corporate Recovery at Taylor Wessing Vienna. She also specialises in banking law. Susanne regularly represents banks, financial institutions and leasing companies in court proceedings against claims of bankruptcy administrators (e.g. actions for avoidance) and advises companies and their shareholders concerning company restructuring. Susanne has been appointed as insolvency administrator by the Commercial Court in Vienna since 1995 and has acted as an insolvency administrator in over 200 insolvency cases.

Career

Back in Vienna she gained experience working in the division for general bank contract at the legal department of Creditanstalt Vienna (1990-1992). In 1992 she continued her legal career as an associate, since 1995 as a partner at Weiss-Tessbach Rechtsanwälte. From 1999 she was a partner in her own practice, in 2010 she joined e|n|w|c Attorneys at Law (now Taylor Wessing CEE).

Education

Susanne studied law at the University of Salzburg (1980-1985). After obtaining her doctorate, she started her postgraduate studies at the University of Trier in Germany, where she became the academic assistant of Professor Bernd von Hoffmann at the Institute of Civil Law, International Private Law and Comparative Law.
