Career

Specialises in banking and finance (with a focus on real property-related assets), corporate real estate, mergers and acquisitions (including restructurings) and joint ventures. Heads the banking and finance team and also co-heads the private wealth and trust advisory desk at TSMP. In the banking and finance portfolio, acted for various borrowers in obtaining credit facilities for the construction of: Parkland Residences, a Housing and Development Board (HDB) Design-Build-and-Sell government project at Upper Serangoon, Singapore and a dangerous goods warehouse on Jurong Island for a global logistics and warehousing provider. She acted for local banks in syndicated loans to provide credit facilities of over S$500m to finance the purchase of land and construction of Paya Lebar Square, a mega-commercial complex at Paya Lebar MRT station, as well as to provide credit facilities of over S$400m to finance the purchase of office units at Westgate, Jurong from a unit of Capitaland. In cross border financing transactions, advised YTL Power Seraya in its S$2.6bn restructuring and re-financing, as well as acted as Singapore counsel to Banca Santander’s restructuring of its loans portfolio. In the area of public mergers and acquisitions, was part of the TSMP team that advised on the take-over of Singapore listed, Fraser & Neave Limited. TSMP advised the Joint Financial Advisers to Overseas Union Enterprise Limited (now known as OUE Limited) in what was the largest take-over in Singapore’s corporate history. She also acted as one of the Singapore counsel on the loan financing to OUE Limited for the take-over, advising on the mortgage of OUE Limited’s high-end commercial properties.
