Mills Oakley further strengthened its corporate offering with the recent hire of Gaurav de Fontgalland to its headquarters. The practice fields four skilled practice heads, one in each of its national offices: Tony Symons (Melbourne) is known for his ability to guide founders through full or partial exits to financial or corporate buyers; Gavin Douglas (Sydney) deals primarily with cross-border transactions; Tim Cox (Brisbane) specialises in private equity and joint ventures; and Simon Panegyres (Perth) has expert knowledge of the natural resources sector.

Mills Oakley‘s lawyers are particularly engaged in leasing work, especially practice co-heads Gavin Douglas, who is a member of the corporate advisory team, and Rechelle Brost, who sits within the projects and construction teams. Douglas is experienced when it comes to operational contracts, investment issues and M&A, while Brost is a key practitioner in relation to the construction of buildings and infrastructure in the aviation industry. The group also offers clients access to specialist knowledge of the legislative requirements under the Airports Act.
