Position
Julie is Head of Immigration and also Head of Faith at Stone King. She works with various types of organisations and individuals on all types of immigration matters, including UK organisations recruiting from abroad and matters affecting European nationals employed in the UK. She uses her knowledge of often sensitive immigration-related matters to support clients across Stone King’s sectors.
Career
Julie entered the law in order to work in Immigration. She began her career in a civil litigation firm followed by running her own consultancy – working in organisations and firms in the South supporting their clients and teams. Julie was thereafter appointed Head of Immigration at the Royal College of Nursing. Julie had a period outside of immigration, as Chief Executive of a national education charity

(Leading individuals)Stone King LLP‘s Cambridge-based specialist immigration team focuses predominantly on workforce shortages, and on assisting teachers in obtaining Skilled Worker visas with a view to them coming to the UK to work in both mainstream and independent schools. The firm also assists independent schools with student and child student sponsor licences. The practice led by partner Julie Moktadir also acts for clients in the charity sector, as well as assisting private individuals with, inter alia, partner visa applications. Moktadir recently advised Taiwanese bubble tea company T4 UK in its obtaining of four Skilled Worker Visas for Taiwanese nationals.
