Career

Lynn heads the Intellectual Property Rights practice in the Firm’s Bangalore office. She is also actively involved in the Technology Law and Commercial Law Practice groups.  Lynn is a seasoned cross border IP transactional attorney and have assisted several domestic and global businesses with their M&A deals in India. Her experience has included conducting due diligence, documentation, negotiation and advisory for leading companies in the software, manufacturing and healthcare industries.

Lynn practices IP law with strong emphasis in the specialist areas of Trade marks, patents and copyright, design registrations and prosecution, IP agreements, licensing and monetization. Over the last decade, Lynn has garnered broad experience in advising clients on various aspects of IP laws in India and globally, including complex matters involving developing patent and trade mark strategies for large multinational enterprises and the protection of their intellectual property worldwide through the USPTO, WIPO and regional offices. She advises on the full range of a client’s IP portfolio, including registrations and prosecutions, IP protection within companies through employment licenses, inventor assignment deeds, NDAs and copyright matters.  She also regularly advises on commercial, telecom, IP regulatory and corporate risk management issues.

She has negotiated deals involving complex IP infringement disputes in the area of software licensing. Lynn has advised production/film making companies, photographers and artists with their copyright licenses and commercial/royalty agreements such as model releases, broadcast/location releases and has advised on video and film concerns. In the performing arts space, she has also represented musicians and bands on manage their commercial deals.

Lynn also represents clients in the telecom industry by managing their commercial agreements and licenses. In the mobile application industry, her expertise is backed by rich industry experience of having worked as in-house counsel for over 2 years with a leading multinational company developing mobile applications.

Lynn is a regular speaker at various seminars and conferences in India and overseas.
