The ‘very strong and friendly’ team at Stephenson Harwood has ‘continued to expand, the firm is hugely respected within the industry, and the quality of the partners is excellent, as is their advice. They are multi-jurisdictional and have continued to expand their services’. It was pleased to add Beatrice Puoti to its ranks from Burges Salmon LLP. Puoti has considerable expertise in advising UK residents and non-residents, domiciled and non-domiciled individuals, private banks, trustees and family offices on their international tax, trust and estate planning issues. James Quarmby heads the department, which advises many wealthy clients ranging from multi-millionaires to ultra-high-net-worth (often high profile) individuals and families, with billions of pounds in assets. The clients are typically entrepreneurial and international. Emily Osborne leads the team’s family office advisory service. Jonathan Conder is experienced in acting for families with an US connection and also for families from SE Asia. Michael Rutili is another key figure who has become a trusted adviser to numerous, mostly European, private clients, their families and businesses.
