Position

Eleanor is a Senior Associate  and a member of the Real Estate Litigation (South) team. Her areas of expertise includes leasehold enfranchisement and landlord and tenant disputes within the long leasehold and living sector.

Eleanor acts for clients including high net worth individuals, property funds and developers. Her work includes both advisory work and where necessary, as a litigator. She routinely deals with matters before the property chambers of the First Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal (Residential Property)  as well as in County and High Court.

Career

Her work at the firm has included:
  • Managing statutory lease extension and collective enfranchisement claims. This works includes negotiating non statutory terms where required.
  • Advising landlord clients in respect of rights of first refusal, structures of ownership and the management of property portfolios
  • Complex and high value service charge claims, including advice in respect of consultation for major works and dispensation
  • Advising in breach of covenant and disrepair claims
  • Possession claims and evicting trespassers
Eleanor completed her LPC at the College of Law, Birmingham and qualified in February 2012.  Eleanor joined Shoosmiths in 2022
