Career

Soo Ling’s main areas of practice are intellectual property and dispute resolution. She has experience in a diverse range of matters such as building construction, company law, commercial law, disciplinary proceedings, employment law, family law, intellectual property, property law, probate & administration and shareholder disputes.

As head of the intellectual property team, she manages a team that ensures that the intellectual property rights of our clients are protected around the world. She is also deputy head of the Dispute Resolution team.

Some of Soo Ling’s notable transactions:

  1. Acted for several foreign companies in enforcing a foreign arbitration award in relation to sale of company shares
  2. Acted for a foreign company in suing on a foreign judgment for damages on infringement of Intellectual Property rights
  3. Acted for a local company in claims against a foreign company for breach of joint venture agreement for an infrastructure project overseas
  4. Represented investors in claims against an international bank for losses suffered in purchasing structured products
  5. Acted for MCST in claims against project manager and main contractor for breach of contract
