Career

Lisa is partner and joint head of the London office. Lisa has over 25 years of experience within licensing and enforcement, the majority of which has been gained in and around of London. She has developed an expertise – and strong following – for advising some of London’s most prestigious hotels, restaurants, private members clubs and events. For instance, Lisa advised The Lanesborough Hotel on Hyde Park Corner in relation to full variations to their premises licence and their marriage and civil partnership licence.

Lisa worked on one of the most unusual and ambitious licensed operations to have been launched in London in recent years; the music, restaurant and entertainment venue development Flat Iron Square; an operation situated in Southwark’s Cumulative Impact Policy Zone. Nonetheless Lisa obtained the three new Premises Licences needed for the project which includes: seven food vendors, three restaurants, three street food trucks and five bars.

Another high profile project that Lisa has worked on is the live music venue Omeara; owned by Ben Lovett of Grammy Award winning band Mumford & Sons. This venue, based in three disused rail arches within the Flat Iron Square development between Borough Market and Tate Modern, is culturally significant given the spate of closures of live music venues and clubs in London.

Some of Lisa’s London-based clients have grown into national chains and Lisa manages all licensing work inside and outside of London. These include wagamama, Bill’s and Cote who between them have over 225 restaurants. Lisa has also been chosen to advise high end restaurant The Ivy on the expansion of its new concept Ivy Collections Brasseries and Nottingham-based Le Bistrot Pierre, currently expanding its estate of 25 restaurants across England and Wales.

“Absolutely superb, very straightforward and clear about the process you have to follow”
